Not itself a stellar book, but it delivered on the thing that I sought it out for. I really just wanted some nice, weird, effed up short story to sink my teeth into, and there were certainly aspects of that. It took a little to get into the gory details but once it did, it satisfied. While not the finest writing, there are honestly still some lines that stick with me. Not gory, but there was a line about
Americans seeming so lonely because they are immigrants.
I really liked that bit.
