What a whirlwind... Dated, provocative, sexist (very!), funny, homophobic, polyamorous, blasphemous, thought-provoking, and what else? Too lengthy monologues or socratic dialogues. Man from Mars comes to Earth to start a polyamorous sex cult that unites or transcends all traditional religions. If it sounds weird, it's because it is. Reads often very dated, at other times very modern. The concept of a human raised by extraterrestrials coming back to earth is a clever way of portraying how weird human societies are. Also, a satire on US society that still works today. Also, a veiled retelling of the life of Christ.
