There has been a lot of hype surrounding the first book in the Splatter Western series, The Magpie Coffin. Some of my favorite reviewers here on Goodreads have given it nothing but the highest praise. This book had a lot to live up to, and holy shit, this motherfucker delivered. It took me a few chapters to really get into the swing of this book, but soon enough I was all in for this blood soaked, brutal and gritty tale. Believe the hype...Salem Covington is one bad mutha.
