I'd read some less-than-favorable reviews of this volume prior to reading it and I was certain that they were wrong....until I read it. The title is unfortunately accurate, with the style and pop culture references being more important than the storyline or character development. I understand that the book pulls from other volumes I have yet to read, but Marvel usually does a better job with first volumes and I was pretty disappointed. I see the potential in the characters and I, of course, love the casual inclusion, but I think they could have done a better job.
