NEW FAVOURITE ROMANCE NOVEL UNLOCKED!
what to expect from this swoon-worthy indie author debut:
- filipino MCs
- matchmaking families
- childhood enemies to friends to lovers
- fluffy silly chaotic escapist ya
you MUST read this book if you're:
- a hopeless romantic
- a book-lover
- a dreamer
- a fan of kpop, anime, manga, films, writing, drawing, gaming- really anything considered "nerdy" or creative!
This one is for the slightly delulu hopeless romantics who may or may not have waaaay too many special interests.
So basically me. I am the target audience.
And, boy, this one sure hit DIRECTLY into the target on my heart!
Reading this book during the month of love was perfect because this book is the epitome of love. Family love, friendship love, food love, identity love, heritage love, hobbies/special interests love, and of course romantic love! I especially adored the bonds of sisterhood, big close-knit families, and friendships new & old. So wholesome, so heartwarming, so needed in these dark and dreary times 🥺❤️🩹
I found sooo much relatable. Jaslene (FMC) is basically a brighter, more delulu, extroverted version of me. Like if I was super cute and unapologetically me? That's Jaslene. She's such a sweetheart and "betrothed-since-childhood" Marlon is the kind of intentionally annoying, undeniably charming, and overwhelmingly caring MMC that everyone loves (or at least everyone *should* love! he's so lovable!). If your heart seeks softness and warmth like mine does, this book and these characters will weave their way straight to your core... and I say, let it!!!!!
