Hell & Back by Julie Rowe

3.0

I can legit cut and paste the same review I had for Viable Threat (a.k.a. the FIRST BOOK in this series) for this book:

"This book could have easily be a 5 on the me-scale, except that the romance goes from 0 to 60 way too fast, and then at the end of the book it goes right to 100. I'm sure that shit does happen in real life sometimes, but for me it was hard to suspend disbelief for that."

Like... the books were getting better kind of steadily, but.. suddenly back down again? Just odd.

Also, unique to this book,
there is this whole "Henry is so rough and dangerous sexually" thread that's really just so undelivered on that it's kind of hilarious. He mentions her needing a safe word, but all I was left wondering was... why did he bother??? (Not saying that sort of thing is unimportant in those sorts of relationships, but... yeah it was just seemingly reeeeally unnecessary.)
