I first read the Twilight series in high school, as the first movie was coming out. I’m reading it again for a friend’s book club. Is the writing terrible? Yes. If I had to read about Edward’s eyes one more time… Is Edward pretty terrible (this coming from a prior Team Edward person), also yes.
Did I have the time of my life rereading this story as a 32-year old, knowing it’s pretty bad, and envisioning the actors from the movie, knowing they also hate Twilight? Absolutely.
Basically this was quite the enjoyable hate-read. We’ll see if New Moon has the same appeal, considering it was my least favorite of the books the first time around. 😬
