BOOK REVIEW: 🖤🖤🖤🖤/5

Police Officer Ari Thor Arason is back at it again in Book 5 of The Dark Iceland series!  This time investigating the mysterious death of a woman who was found at the bottom of a cliff in a deserted village a few days before Christmas.  The KICKER: both her sister and mother were found dead at the SAME spot 25 years earlier.  Was this suicide, an accident OR something much more sinister??

The history of the village and the lighthouse come from a long line of dark family secrets.  When blood is found inside the lighthouse it becomes evident that SOMETHING happened before the woman went over the cliff.  Will Ari Thor find the killer in time before someone else ends up dead??

The suspense builds slowly in this book, but in a masterful way!  With Christmas approaching, it adds to the desperation to close the case before the holiday traditions begin.  The balance of MURDER and MYSTERY mixed with the approaching holiday adds to the CHILLING tone of the book.  I only have one more book left in the series to read, “Winterkill”, and I hope to get to it next month!

⁉️ WHAT are some of your favourite wintery reads??  If you enjoy Nordic noirs, please recommend me a couple!
