Crash Landing: A Novel
by Annie McQuaid
3.5 stars rounded up. This was definitely a fun and unique story. Exes run into each other at the airport on the way to a mutual friends wedding, flights are cancelled, and Wyatt offers to borrow and fly a small plane to get them to the wedding in time. Cue all the disasters. After crashing on an uninhabited island, the forced proximity has them reminiscing and rethinking about each other. This was like if Lost was just two characters and none of the crazy island stuff 😂 I enjoyed it but it was a bit slow for me. I felt like we got way too much island time and barely anything once afterwards. The ending was cute and I did enjoy that, I just think the book overall was just okay and was pretty much a walking red flag of miscommunications at every turn. It got kind of boring at times and I just wasn't fully invested in the characters.
