dark and strange. this book had a strong start, and i was excited to see where this tale of poison and fevers would go. however, i felt that it had just too much plot packed into such a short book, and i don't really think that plot was handled well. i found myself confused by the end about the big plot twist, which i won't spoil for you but it is def intriguing but like. very confusing lol. i thought evelyn was an interesting protagonist but that the other characters faded in comparison to her. overall, a decent read, but not amazing.
