The May Mothers are a group of women who met through an online forum, all with due dates in the same month. Living in Brooklyn, they met up with their bumps and continued to meet up as each gave birth. Now that the long, hot summer months are upon them, they're starting to consider going out without their babies. But on her first night out without her baby, a night out she didn't really want to attend, Winnie receives the worst news when she's called home to hear that her baby, Midas, has been abducted. The other May Mothers come together to try to solve the mystery as the investigation is bungled and Winnie becomes the target of both the public eye and the police's concern.

Slow moving at times, this story is dependent on the feeling of sleep-deprivation and paranoia. Can you really trust the narrators here? Do any of the May Mothers truly know each other, or is their closeness just predicated on the nature of their relationship?
