This is just taking me forever to finish for some reason. I think it could have been just a tad shorter, as it was dragging for some time there. I kinda had forgotten by the end a bunch of stuff that happened at the beginning (one of those "was that this same book?" deals). But the overall plot has been interesting enough to keep me listening. There have been a couple weird beefs I have though, I'm not sure if it's author specific since this my first encounter with him. But like dialogue is sometimes weird, like "was there something weird about the report" "yes" "well what was it." Like the lone "yes" wasn't for dramatic effect or anything, it was just bad dialogue. There would be weird floaty "no's" too. The other thing was weird metaphores that I had to sit and think about to get. Of course I can't remember the example now, but something about a styrafoam cup. I was like "what on earth are you talking about?" So it kinda distracted from the story. But all in all I like the plot, and will probably read/listen to more from this author.
