Rupture follows shortly after Blackout.  This is not your typical Nordic Noir, it’s not particularly violent and is more slow-burn Agatha Christie style.  I especially felt like it was more character and world building for the series.  We get to see some of the same characters from the previous book, digging deeper into their lives, which is pretty cool. There’s still a major case Ari Thor is working on, but there’s also lot of background information.  I absolutely LOVE the atmosphere of the Dark Iceland series, and this book is no different.  It’s beautiful, vivid, and chilling..  I want to go to Iceland so badly!  This is a fun read, and I highly recommend it for fans looking for a classic mystery!
