I Owe You One by Sophie Kinsella
4.0
First of all I'd like to preface by saying I've read many of Sophie Kinsella's books. I enjoy her style of rom-com and the antics of her protagonist. I Owe You One, however, does not initially present the usual overconfident protagonist characteristic of Kinsella's books. Fixie is a charming, responsible, woman who earned her nickname after an incessant need to fix everything for everyone - an important quality when one comes from a family of needy characters. While the book felt a bit oppressive to me in the beginning, the plot develops and the concept of the IOU exchange between Fixie and Seb, a handsome young businessman she meets in a coffee shop, is delightful. A solid 4 star read.
