Courage and the King by Charlie Cochet

4.0

I have been looking forward to this story for ages! Dasher and the King have been dancing around each other for a couple of books now and though it's entertaining, I so wanted them to have their HEA.
Dasher has been interested in the king for a while now and to the other's, it doesn't look reciprocated but he has to take the chance! At Jack's palace where his wedding to Rudy is due to take place soon, Dasher and the king will be under the same roof for a couple of weeks, giving Dasher the chance to put his best self forward.
I love these two men together, and we get to read from the King of Frost's POV which is interesting with his son getting married, the loss of his wife and new possibilities with Dasher. They are from very different places in life and have different experiences but they are both in need of love, care and friendship. There are some beautiful scenes. The King of Frost is able to manipulate the snow/ice/air and so he creates animals that bound through the snow and interact, amazing imagery from the author. Of course, it's not without drama as a ghost from Dasher's past comes back to haunt him and the couple must stand strong against it.
There are several hot scenes between the two but also plenty of fun and endearing scenes and a heartwarming wedding.
It's a highly enjoyable end to the series and the perfect couple to end with. Definitely a recommended read from me.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.
