Long Live the Pumpkin Queen by Shea Ernshaw

I am a huge fan of the Nightmare Before Christmas so I knew I needed to pick this book up and give it a chance. You know when you see a film when you are younger and it’s full of happy nostalgia you worry when people try to revisit it they might ruin the story or ruin the magic that you once knew? Well for this book I’m so happy it didn’t ruin that magic. I loved seeing the side of Sally taking risks and truly stepping up to her potential in being the new Pumpkin Queen.

I will admit the story is a little dragged on in a sense however the detail in the descriptions did the job and took you through how Sally felt about herself and finding out who she truly was and all through the different towns.

I loved the touch at the end where the Sandman was not a total Villain in the story, just a sleepy man and how all the different holidays now work together instead of separate.

Honestly I would actually like to see this as a follow up of the NBC movie, it’s very cute overall
