I don't know if I enjoyed this book, but I definitely thought about it for a long time afterwards. The story often feels utterly devoid of hope and if you want answers, you won't get them. Being inside the damaged mind of the narrator was challenging and unrelatable and yet you can't deny this is an impressive piece of literature. Maybe brilliant, definitely brutal - the only thing I'm sure of is that I never want to read it again!
