abraid1014 's review for:
About a Boy
by Nick Hornby
I think I'd give this book more of a 3.5 rating, but I read it in just a couple days so that was enough to bump it up to the 4 star mark.
This was a cute, fluffy book. Kind of like chick lit, except written by a guy about a guy. Will is pretty much an asshole, but I think there's something in him that everyone can identify with. I think he grows up by the end of the book, but I think Hornby leaves that up to the reader to decide.
My only complaint is that I felt like the story was leading Will up to finding out something really deep about himself, and I don't feel like that ever happened. Maybe it did at the end, but the end felt like more of a small hiccup than a really meaningful ending.
