Hidden Pictures by Jason Rekulak

5.0

4.5/5, but rounding to 5 stars because I had such a fun experience reading this.

I absolutely adored this book! The idea of combining a thriller/mystery with the drawings throughout made it feel a lot more immersive than it otherwise would have been. It's a very quick and simple read, so you're not going to find the next literary classic here. But even still, the writing style has an explanation for it that you'll discover by the end. Sure, there are definitely times when you need to suspend your disbelief, but that's par for the course when it comes to supernatural thrillers. Also, I think most of the 1-star reviews are just coming from BookTok-ers who are just blowing things way out of proportion, trying to make something out of nothing.

Even if you're on the fence, give Hidden Pictures a try and see if it sucked you in like it did me.
