"My love for my mother is like an axe. It cuts very deep."
this book was very hard for me to get through at first, and I kept coming back to it months later until i got to the last third, then I read it all in one sitting.
the way levy explored the mother daughter relationship really resonated with me and left me feeling seen in a way that kind of scared me. the plot itsself was interesting but there was no real climax for me, it was when Sofia really uncovered her emotions - for her mother, father and ingrid, that I felt the book was where it was meant to be. idk i really really liked this book. but its not something that i would normally enjoy plot wise.
