One would think a lot more would have happened in a 561 page book. Was it good? Sure. Did it drag on longer than it should've? Definitely.
Romance: rushed and a tad unrealistic.
Violence: lots of people dying/being run through with swords.
Characterization: sometimes very predictable but pretty well-rounded.
Friendship, love, sacrifice, enemies-to-lovers trope, it all equates to a clean story that is refreshing if not somewhat slow.
