The final quarter of this book saved the story for me. The beginning was a little heavy-handed (I was hoping for more subtlety in the racism, overconsumption, paternalism is—to see how easy it is to fall into these traps—but we bashed over the head with them (which I guess is appropriate for the times in which we live). 

But the end was phenomenal—it was only then that I had respect for Sciona—but Thomil & Carra are chef’s kiss throughout the book
