I accidentally bought two copies of this book at different book fairs, so I thought it must be good, right? Unfortunately not. I wasn't a big fan of any aspects of it - the characters, the writing style, the mystery. I haven't read any other books in this series and don't plan to, but perhaps fans of the series would like it more. Maybe it was just a bad one with dark themes - cop killed, lgbqt bigotry, religious persecution, drunken black outs. I wasn't a fan.
