A fascinating read that was at times funny, shocking and morbid. I was a bit disappointed at the ending but I appreciated how the book broached on topics that aren't often represented in books. It was interesting to see how mental health was managed back in the day too. It is saddening to learn the author committed suicide at a young age, and at times, it felt like I was reading the thoughts of Plath. She was talented but obviously troubled. RIP.
