Sisters by Daisy Johnson

2.0

2.5. Not my style at all. Far too much effort put into sounding writerly and poetic. This book was brimming with pretentious, nonsensical, giggle-inducing descriptions such as ‘September’s anger was breaking out of her face, like shards of wood.’ Characters spoke like nobody (i.e. a mother who describes her depression to her two young daughters as being the colour of ‘rust and leather’).
How relatable. :-|
Not one for me!
