Tower of Dawn by Sarah J. Maas
3.0

This is a very Chaol forward book. I am not a Chaol fan and this book didn't make me any more fond of him. The side characters, however, saved the book. Nesryn, Sartaq, and even Yrene allowed me to get through the book.

Chaol and Nesryn head to Antica to hopefully forge and alliance with the Khagan to help with the war against the Valg. Chaol is wheelchair bound, and is also hoping that he healers of Torre Cesme can help him get back on his feet. He treats Nesryn and Yrene (his healer) like crap, and is always in the middle of a pity-party. Nesryn meets one of the princes (Sartaq) and takes a liking to flying with him. She unexpectently leaves Chaol to go with Sartaq to Eridun Aerie to hopefully form an alliance with the ruk riders.

Overall. Chaol still sucks. He needs to decide whether Aelin is the devil he thinks she is, or whether he is holding on to unresolved hurt. He's still a prick though. He just says things to hurt people, like he does to Yrene. He's lucky that she is kind and good.
