The book is very easy to read and very well interwoven between Henry's story and additional information / history on tuberculosis, which helps you understand the scope of the disease, Henry's fight against it, and how it could've been different.
Graphic: Chronic illness, Death, Medical content, Medical trauma, Classism, Pandemic/Epidemic
Moderate: Bullying, Confinement, Racism, Terminal illness, Grief, Colonisation, War
Minor: Cursing, Mental illness, Outing
It weaves a lot of layers of history and social forces into the evolution of not just treatment of tuberculosis itself, but also the treatment of the actual people who were infected.
