The Highly Sensitive Person: How to Thrive When the World Overwhelms You by Elaine N. Aron

Did not finish book. Stopped at 8%.
I was curious about this because of the discussions about HSPs on Anne Bogel’s What Should I Read Next? podcast. I didn’t think I was an HSP, but I thought my husband might be, and when I came across the book, I was interested in learning more about the personality type.

Unfortunately, this read more like an elitist self-help book, celebrating the virtues of HSPs, despite the supposed societal judgment of sensitive people and claiming to help them achieve confidence and pride in their HSP status. I don’t like self-help books, and this had the added drawback and making me feel lectured to and less than, which was not what I am looking for in my reads.
