The Death of Vivek Oji by Akwaeke Emezi

4.0

By the end, this novel broke my heart and started putting it back together. It's a beautiful story of a family, especially a mother, coming to terms with who her child was, sadly after the child's death. The pacing of the story was a bit unbalanced. The first half of the novel was too slowly paced for me, but the back half made it worth the investment.
