if i wasn't an emotional mess already the author's note sure made me shed a tear or two.
after adoring the first two instalments i'm so glad i enjoyed reading this one too! quan's love and adoration for anna absolutely stole my heart!!! i love their moments so so much, how protective and understanding he is of her. i love how authentic anna's feelings felt.
while it started out really fun, with anna and quan's developing romance, the heart principle soon delved into anna's diagnosis, the struggles of being a caretaker and how it exhausts you mentally. its not as fluffy or steamy as the previous two as anna and quan's storylines and personal struggles are well developed. it all felt so raw to read about, helen hoang poured her heart and more into it. it was more than just a story of two lovers, its about exploring one self and coming to love it.
