Don't Date Rosa Santos by Nina Moreno

Loved the setting and underlying "problems" that latin-american immigrants endure, how they stick together in an effort to rebuild the life they left behind, how they keep the spirit and culture alive as much as possible, how they are in search of where to fit in.
But something felt off to me. I didn't enjoy the story as much as I expected and I can't put my finger on the why.
