This work felt like it was more about painting an image of a particular search for freedom instead of a story with a resolution. I enjoyed Cerulean as a protagonist and how refreshing it was for a character to have such an accepting inner circle, especially with the parents. There were some concepts left unanswered in the end so I did feel like the reader was left hanging. However, it comes across as intentional with several details scattered in the end, almost as if the reader is encouraged to create their own ending or speculate what truly happens.
