Aubrey has come to Lost Trail Ranch, hoping to find out what happened to her sister after she disappeared 3 years ago. There she meets grumpy secretive cowboy, Jensen, who agrees to take her up into the mountains in search of any clues. 

I was so intrigued by the premise of this book. Cowboy romance and horror? Count me in!

And I was absolutely hooked from the prologue on! So much suspense throughout and so much dread up in those mountains. (And let me tell you, as a trail runner who often heads out into the hills/wilderness on her own…I might be looking a little closer at all those shadows from now on. 👀😳)

Secrets, mystery, something lurking in the shadows…Adventure, horses, and ever present danger, this was book was so hard to put down.

Horror, adventure, and yes, spice, I loved this one so much. HIGHLY recommend this one if you enjoy your romance with a heavy dose of action…just be aware, you may need a nightlight if you plan to read after dark…👀
