A Study in Chocolate by Amber Royer
medium-paced
3.0
This was the first book I’ve read by Amber and I did enjoy it.
However, it was quite slow paced & the chapters were long, which is two negatives in my opinion.
The book was relaxed throughout with not many moments of tension, compared to the books I usually read in this genre.
I didn’t have a clue who the suspect was until near the end, I think that suspicions could have been cast a bit stronger throughout the book on certain characters & this would have made it a more enjoyable experience for the reader.
I did enjoy the slight romance side story in the plot too.
Overall, if I had to describe it in one word, it would be ‘okay’.
