Wonderfully strange and drifting, dancing on the edges of pop-culture, the brief book feels like a sort of Pilgrim's Progress. For all its strangeness there's a great contemporary ear for character and dialogue and it makes a mad sense. The art is faint, almost fading, and beautifully done.
