Heavy on the smut, light on the plot. Which I’m sure is more than fine if you’re in it for just the spicy shit. If you are, I 100% would recommend it. If not well….
The characters are annoying, and very reminiscent of characters from other forays into contemporary romance fantasy novels. Rae is super tiny and itty bitty and a brat with an attitude who falls for the demon Leon who is so so tall and growls and glowers and is so protective despite being a asshole for the first half of the book. Yawn. The sex wasn’t horribly boring so I’ll give them that.
Also a lot of important plot stuff kind of happens off screen. Like, important shit. Which…. huh? Odd.
