I’m not easily disturbed, but this book got to me by page 12. A powerful and visceral look at capitalism, dehumanization, and propaganda (and the meat industry of course). I particularly loved the way the author continuously examined the power of words and language to soften and shape our perception of things that are acceptable versus abhorrent. I had no clue where the book would end, but it was just as depressing and damning as I expected it would be.
