This book is a special kind of dark and twisted romance. Logan is really the only guy I would consider being in a real romantic relationship with Riley. What she had going on with Royce was pretty twisted but Grayson.....THAT WAS JUST NOT OK. He is seriously the worst through the whole book. I am REALLY curious to see how that character arc comes full circle through the series cause it just was not hot- it was R*PE. PERIOD. Also is this a hockey romcom? If so....it was VERY light on any hockey commentary. I think we spent more time at the strip club Riley worked at than we ever spent on the rink. The boys being hockey players is hardly a part of the plot. I think the only think that is really going to keep me going in this series is the need to know where the story goes from here. It amazed me that
she took so long to mention she was a mother, let alone the paternity of her child as that would have probably saved her ass a long time ago. While she may have been trying to protect her, I don't think she was ever at risk and would have probably saved her ass from the start.

As for the audio-  Narrated by Helena Walters; Oliver Highpoint -I think it was average and on par with other books in this dark genre. I found both narrators doing justice for their characters and made the reading experience breeze by.

Thank you NetGalley for the audiobook ARC, all opinions are my own.
