A great story, with a surprising twist, which was somewhat let down by bad copy-editing. (Lots of annoying small errors.). I liked Spencer's tenacity to get to the bottom of the accident that left her scarred, a school-mate dead, and her ex-boyfriend under suspicion of reckless driving. Just WHAT happened that night? I felt this wasn't up to the polished standard of other works by de la Cruz, like the Alex and Eliza series, but the story was engaging.
Graphic: Child death, Car accident, Injury/Injury detail, Medical trauma, and Alcohol
Moderate: Injury/Injury detail and Grief
Minor: Drug use and Medical trauma
