Untying the Knot
by Meghan Quinn
It took everything in me to finish this book.
Starting with my issues with the book, it took until almost the 50% mark for the reasons for her filing for a divorce to be revealed. So the first half of the book were just spent going back and forth between recaps of their relationship since they met and the petty and childish actions of Myla in the present. Like you took all the damn food from the fridge, HIS clothes and then continued to antagonize him...and when he retaliated it was a problem?? BFFR
Then the rest of the book is Myla going back and forth on her feelings and Ryot damn near losing his mind the whole time. I rarely feel bad for a dude but my god. Once he realized where he messed up it's like he was trying his best to give her what she wanted while she just kept confusing things.
And the book damn near over and we find out her best friend Nichole's' cancer has returned and it's terminal. And Myla does the same thing she did when her dad died....starts to push Ryot away again. There's like 10% of the book left and we're doing this?? The whole thing drove me crazy. And come to find out she didn't even sign the divorce papers herself. So you were doing all that for what then.
I really wanted to enjoy this book after reading the prior two but it just fell so short for me unfortunately.
