The Lucky Heart

The Lucky Heart is the third book in the Jamison Valley series by Devney Perry and is my favorite at this point. I am a sucker for second chance romances, and Perry just has a way with them. They way she writes her characters and their pasts and then shows how in the present they are able to work through the issues is refreshing to see.
Felicity and Silas were fire on the page. I could feel their connection from the start and was instantly interested in their story since Felicity showed up in book 1. Felicity is a complex character who is working on forgiving herself for the things that happened in the past, and Silas is her perfect hero, because he patiently works with her. I loved how supportive Silas was of her and the patience that he had. I also really loved the flashbacks, it added to their story more and more.
Devney Perry is my go-to for small town romance and I always finish her books happy. Now I am excited to see what happens with Sabrina and Beau in that outpost (wink wink).
