52 Book Challenge Prompt: Reread a favourite
This review comes years after I first read this book; as it fulfilled my "reread a favourite" prompt for the 2023 52 Book Club challenge that I have with my friend.
Sebastian and Audra's story has to be my favourite of all the Whitman U books, although I think you have more of appreciation for it if you have read the proceeding 4 books in the series and had a change to see them as supporting characters. You will probably have strong feelings about both of them by the time you get to their book and I have to say, Payne does an excellent job of making you question your assumptions and bias's.
There should be a TW on this book of drug abuse (by a supporting character but still) and SA. And I think there is a much broader question to be asked about who is culpable when explicit images are released without consent.
That said, I was happy not to go into it too deeply as I enjoyed the dynamic between the two leads.
