I had decided to reread the cruel prince because i seem to have reawakened my taste for ya fantasy. the cruel prince was a fun read (just like it was the first time I read it 2 years ago). I’d like to say my standards have changed since then, nevertheless, it was still pretty good. I will say though, this book is more of ya political fantasy than it is an enemies to lovers story. Is there a notable enemies to frenemies to lovers subplot? yes. Yet, there’s more of faerie politics than anything else. But does the angst make me giggle and kick my feet like a teenage girl? yes.
