Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro

This book is absolutely bleak and tragic. It was incredibly well-crafted, though. Mostly, I appreciate it as a way of investigating how societal pressures, culture, and systems affect and trap individuals, and how individuals can become caught in hopeless situations (this book taking a sci-fi spin on that!).
