The Testaments: an amazing book that delved deeply into how people of Gilead lives. It is endlessly interesting and I couldn’t stop myself from reading it. That said, it wasn’t even near the same tier level of The Handmaid’s Tale. If The Testaments deserves a 4.5/5 The Handmaid’s Tale deserves a 7/5 which sadly I can’t give it. (The Handmaid’s Tale is my favorite book if you can’t tell). Although The Testaments is a good book I don’t believe it’s necessary to read if you loved The Handmaid’s Tale. It feels more like a well written history lesson about an interesting country rather than the snapshot of a life that The Handmaid’s Tale gives you.
