Not the Marrying Kind by Kathryn Nolan

5.0

Kathryn has outdone herself!!

I have been waiting for Max and Fiona's book ever since Kathryn announced she was writing it, and it did not disappoint! Max and Fiona are both so different, yet the way these two connected over their shared love of music and history was beautiful to read. I had all the swoony feels, heart strings pulled and epic butterflies! These two opposites were exactly what the other needs!

I love how different Fiona is from her family and all her quirks that make her this badass that she truly is. She goes after what she wants, even if she does it in her own type-A way.

And where can I find my own Max in real life!? The tattoos, the motorcycle...everything about this hero tugged at my heart strings! He has such a big heart, and I can connect with him on a lot of levels -- I loved his journey throughout this story in finding his true self.

Both Max and Fiona go through a lot of growth in this story, and seeing them come together was just incredible! The chemistry was just to die for! The backdrop of their story at the Red Room and the music truly enhanced the story. I've never had so much fun listening to a playlist while reading and feeling the steam rise while I read! The music made Max and Fiona's story that much more amazing!

And THANK YOU for the scenes with Roxy and Edward...THEY. WERE. EVERYTHING. I loved these little glimpses into their life, and was greedy for more!

Kathryn is absolutely one of my favorite authors, no questions, and I recommend her books to everyone, and this one is no exception! Her books are smart, sexy and full of steam. I love the side characters she writes and the diversity in her books. She is a master storyteller, and everyone needs to pick up this book NOW!
