Falling into Magic by Elizabeth Pantley

adventurous hopeful lighthearted mysterious reflective fast-paced

3.5

Falling into Magic is a charming novel set between Seattle and a foreign world, Destiny Falls. Main character Hayden and her cat Sassy, are plunged into Destiny Falls one day after a mysterious man keeps showing up whilst going about her days.
Hayden is soon at the forefront of drama when she meets her long-lost relatives in this beautiful mysterious land, finally finding the large family she's always dreamed of having, only when she starts to get glimpses of the mysterious man in Destiny Falls too and unexplainable events start occurring, Hayden realises she cannot trust all whom surround her.

This was such a cosy read for me, I found the novel to be fast-paced and easy to read, the characters warming and the settings magical! My absolute favourite part to read was about the Mansion in which Hayden stayed in, it reminded me of Hogwarts magic in which the house was able to change by itself, I could imagine sitting in the window seat with bookshelves, and an ever filling pot of tea with treats all day and not want to move. Sassy (Latifa) was a cutie too!

The book was a very simple read and would suit a younger audience (middle grade), this and some of the dialogue and plot, which I found predictable in parts, is why I chose to give it three stars. Overall I am glad I picked up this book.
