Book 2 in the Bill Hodges trilogy.

King's horror is always either a big hit or a big miss with me. So far, his crime thrillers have been hits for me. I think his strength is in his "small town Joe" type of characters. He has a knack for writing people we know or people we can relate to.

He takes the standard formula for these and adds some of his personal horror twists to them. The evolving storyline of Hodges, Holly, and Jerome are decently done, but the twist I see coming with Brady is one of those King horror things.

I'm looking forward to seeing where these 4 end up in book 3.
