I’d like to preface this by saying that this book made me shed tears. I ached for Alessandra and Dominic because although he was in the wrong, reading about his turmoil when trying to get Alessandra back really pulled at my heartstrings. The book was so beautifully written that I too would’ve been blinded by the Dominic that Alessandra first fell in love with because he was so amazing, but redemption arc Dominic was a different breed. I loved both characters in the book and I couldn’t help but root for them knowing they were soulmates. Although shorter than I would’ve liked (I could’ve read 100 more pages of Alessandra and dom’s memories of each other because they were so captivating and I wanted to delve deeper into Roman’s story/character), this book was emotional, beautiful, and slightly stressful because Alé was being toooo strong when trying to let this man go (she’s stronger than me…I would’ve caved). I also think this book is an important insight into how easily people lose themselves when they enter relationships and how imperative it is that people maintain some semblance of autonomy in long relationships specifically. I respected Alessandra and thought her character development was perfect and absolutely where it needed to be for her to forgive and reenter her relationship with Dom. This series has me in a chokehold, and I can’t wait to read the rest. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for king of greed…Ana Huang you’ve done it again.
