Well, that was certainly bleak! But the writing was lovely and the book was worthwhile. There is a reason it has stood the rest of time. I don’t like tragedies as a rule, but this one brought up lots of old language of family and friends who have long passed on. I’m glad thAt this way of speaking and living life has been preserved for us here.
